I was born and raised in western Kentucky on a small family farm where I learned the value of hard work. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in 2010 from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky with a double major in Mathematics and Philosophy. After visiting Athens I fell in love with the area. I relocated to the Athens area and attended The University of Georgia School of Law where I obtained my law degree in 2013.
While in law school, I assisted Professor Ronald Carlson in researching revisions for his book, Carlson on Evidence, a legal guide used by attorneys across Georgia. For the second and third years of law school I worked as a law clerk for a local law firm. During that time I learned about interviewing clients and witnesses, drafting documents and generally managing cases. After being admitted to the State Bar of Georgia, I learned about advocating for my clients in court and interacting with opposing parties and attorneys.
I am married and have two wonderful children. When I am not working I enjoy hands-on activities such as cooking, woodworking, small construction/home projects, and tinkering with my computers.
